Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Moroo service ("Service"), operated by Bogdan Ionut Gheorghe ("Moroo", "we", "us"). By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these Terms.
1. The Service
Moroo is a platform for tracking brown bear sightings in Romania, planning hikes and accessing safety features. Some features are free; others ("Pro features") require a paid subscription or day pass.
2. Your account
You must provide accurate information, keep it up to date and keep your credentials confidential. You are responsible for activity under your account. You must be of legal age or have authority to bind the organisation you represent.
3. Acceptable use
You must not:
- use the Service unlawfully, fraudulently or to send spam;
- infringe intellectual-property or privacy rights of others;
- upload malware, attempt to bypass security, probe or scrape the Service;
- submit false sightings or content intended to deceive other users;
- resell, redistribute or reverse-engineer the Service.
4. Intellectual property
Moroo and its content, software and branding are owned by Bogdan Ionut Gheorgheand protected by intellectual-property laws. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Service within your selected plan. You retain ownership of content you submit, and grant us a limited licence to host and process it solely to provide the Service.
5. Payments and subscriptions
Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns. Payment terms, billing frequency, taxes, cancellations and refund mechanics are governed by Paddle's Buyer Terms. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. 6. AI features
Photo verification and other AI-powered features may produce inaccurate results. Outputs are informational only and must not be relied on as a substitute for personal judgement or professional advice. You are responsible for the photos and content you submit and must have the rights to do so. Repeat infringement may result in account termination.
7. Service availability
We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free. To the maximum extent permitted by law we disclaim all implied warranties including merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose.
8. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or terminate your access for material breach of these Terms, non-payment, security or fraud risk, or repeated policy violations. On termination your access ends; you may request an export of your data within a reasonable period before deletion.
9. Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability is limited to the fees you paid in the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim. We are not liable for indirect, consequential or special damages including loss of profits, data or goodwill. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability for fraud, death or personal injury caused by negligence where such exclusion is prohibited by law.
10. Indemnity
You will indemnify us against claims arising from your content, your unlawful use of the Service or your breach of these Terms.
11. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Romania. Disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts of Romania, unless mandatory consumer-protection law provides otherwise.
12. Changes
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through the Service. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
